Commonly asked questions and answers

What is Backstage Blueprint?

Backstage Blueprint is a nonprofit resources center that helps musicians build the business side of their careers. It provides structured guidance on marketing, planning, contracts, and monetization through a hands-on, workbook-driven approach.

Is Backstage Blueprint a 501(c)(3) nonprofit?

Yes. Backstage Blueprint received its 501(c)(3) status in 2026.

This means the organization operates as a tax-exempt nonprofit focused on education and artist development, with the goal of making business knowledge more accessible to musicians.

How is the program content developed?

The program is built around a book and supporting materials licensed from RCG.

Backstage Blueprint leases the rights to use this content and delivers it through structured programming, worksheets, and guided exercises to help artists apply the material in a practical way.

Is this program only for reggae artists?

No. Artists from any genre can benefit from the frameworks, strategies, and business principles taught in the program.

That said, the current examples and case studies are rooted in reggae music.

Future versions of the program will expand to include content tailored to additional genres.
